Not only did John McCain meet with the Dalai Lama last week, now he’s saying he would skip the Olympics due to China’s occupation of Tibet. No wonder the Christian fundies don’t trust McCain; the candidate is clearly a New Age-y Buddhist type.

Did the Christian Science Monitor really run a piece arguing that China should treat Tibet the same as Taiwan without once acknowledging that one has practical autonomy and a large standing military openly assisted by the United States while the other has neither?
