I ate a raw tomato yesterday. Well, two slices of raw tomato. They were on a sandwich I bought from the deli closest to my parents’ house in Columbia.

I’ve always complained that you can’t find decent snow cones in DC. In the Baltimore area, they’re everywhere in the summer (and called by their proper name, snowballs), but like a good crab cake or a decent bagel, they simply don’t exist thirty miles South.
