Earbud Bleg

I managed to make it ten months, which is longer than I usually go with earbuds, but I finally killed the pair that came with my iPhone. Does anyone know where I can get a good deal on some new ones, given that I want an iPhone-compatible (ie, built-in microphone) model? I care about sound quality and don’t want to buy something that sounds awful just because it’s cheap, but at the same time, I do have a tendency to be fairly rough on headphones, so spending a lot of money on them isn’t really very smart. Basically, I’d be willing to spend a little extra for sound quality plus sturdiness, but I’m not willing to pay a lot extra because I’ll definitely break them sooner or later regardless of quality.
The trick here is that I know headphones, generally speaking, are a high margin item for electronics stores, which means I know someone out there must sell them at significant discounts. Unfortunately, I don’t know who that might be. Amazon, for example, seems to have some decent deals on price, but they also offer so many models through so many third party vendors that it’s almost impossible to shop in their store in anything resembling a sensible manner unless I already know exactly what I want. Any other suggestions?

I’ve had pretty good success with the V-Moda Vibe Duo’s I’ve been using for a good 14 months or so. I think they go for 79.99 retail right now, so you ca probably find them for 60-70. The Apple in-ear headphones are supposed to be pretty good, and about the same price, though probably harder to find on sale.
Below this price level it’s hard to find the decent ones since the mic/remote functionality and license fee to apple drives the cost up a bit.
Also, check out ilounge.com, which has reviews for around 30 different iphone compatible earphone/mic sets.
