Barry The Homophobe

I’ve long considered the Former Mayor for Life to be more of an entertainingly bizarre fixture of public life in Washington than anything else. I suppose he really is just a despicable old man who should have gone away a long time ago. Oh well.

By the way, “I am a politician who is moral,” is a Barry classic.

UPDATE: And, two hours later, I realize that some people glancing at this might initially think I was using “Barry” as a nickname for the president, as opposed to the actual name of Marion Barry. I hope anyone reading the headline read the rest of the post and figured out who I was actually discussing.
