Apparently “The Muslims” Are Taking Cues From General Zod

For roughly 40 years (give or take an election cycle or two), the GOP has been the party of bigotry. Not every Republican has supported this policy, and certainly not every Republican is a bigot him or herself, but every single Republican politician with success on the national stage has in some way benefited from it.

Sometimes they accidentally make the whole “party of bigotry” thing a bit clearer than they probably should.

On a campaign conference call with Florida reporters, McCain surrogate, and fellow prisoner of war, Bud Day, seems to have cast McCain’s foreign policy in stark, religious terms:

The Muslims have said either we kneel or they’re going to kill us… I don’t intend to kneel and I don’t advocate to anybody that we kneel, and John doesn’t advocate to anybody that we kneel.

On a campaign conference call…” Bud Day was selected by the campaign to represent it on company time, and this is what he had to say about “the Muslims”.

I’m not sure that anything else needs to be said.
