Wolong Nature Reserve: we can rebuild it! Meanwhile, one of its former residents gives birth! Warning: newborn pandas are gross. Opposite of warning: video also contains inexplicable footage of cute baby panda in sleeping bag.

In triumphant animal rescue news, a young panda is rescued from a ledge and two elephants are rescued from what is referred to as a well but looks like a big hole.

In triumphant science news, take that, intelligent design!

Jaws 5?

Dogs in China can rest easy, for the duration of the Olympics, anyway.

Too many kittens?? Send them my way, Bristol Dogs and Cats Home, especially if they come with a baby red panda! (PS Spay and neuter your pets, people!)

Finally, a woman found a baby bat asleep in her bra. Said woman had been wearing said bra containing said bat for five hours. Said woman may be an idiot.
