World War II Veterans Are Awesome

Posted on May 29, 2008 by andrew

Sorry to do another post on the whole Auschwitz/Buchenwald thing; I know some of you would probably prefer I ignore it from here on out. I promise, this one is much lighter and hopefully funny. The story is courtesy of Sadly, No!

One of the troglodytes in wingnutland was not satisfied with knowing the name of Obama’s great-uncle and demanded more information about the man’s alleged service from the good people at the 89th Infantry Division’s website. Young Mr. Steve Gilbert of Sweetness & Light was not, sadly, treated with the respect he so clearly deserves:

Please crawl back under the rock you came out from.

Good day

Raymond Kitchell, veteran 89th Inf Div

Raymond Kitchell, World War II veteran and liberator of Buchenwald, doesn’t take any shit from crackpots trying to use his service to score cheap political points. He is my new hero.
