Asking All Twelve Of My Readers For Money

Posted on March 31, 2008 by andrew

If you’re considering giving some money to a candidate today as part of a pre-FEC deadline fundraising push, here’s another option that I would encourage you to consider, courtesy of an email I just received:

Dear Andrew,

I’m writing today to ask for your support. A few months ago I filed papers with the Federal Election Commission to establish the Free and Equal DC Fund, a political action committee that I’ll be using to bring the issue of DC voting rights to congressional elections around the country.

The filing deadline for the quarter is today, March 31st, and I’d like to show some momentum as we head into the congressional campaign season. You can donate online by clicking here.

The money raised will be used to support candidates who support full congressional voting rights for the District of Columbia and actively oppose those that do not. Your support will mean we’ll be able to take our message of disenfranchisement outside of the District and into other congressional districts. Print, radio, or television ads are all possible with your support!

Please consider making a donation of $51 (or whatever you can) to the Free and Equal Fund here: https://secure.actblue.com/contribute/entity/18798. Every little bit helps.

Thank you for all that you do,

Mike Panetta
